LAAAAAAAME!!!!!!!!

Since our upstairs neighbors moved out, our landlord has been around all weekend to get the place fixed up a little and show potential renters the place. Unfortunately, our little grey cat has a problem where she occasionally feels the need to pee next to the litterbox instead of in it. Due to this, the carpet and possibly the floor boards need to be torn up and our landlord has told us that we must get rid of both of our cats or move out.

We are going to get rid of the little kitty, but Devon will never in a million years get rid of Gizmo. He’s always been the good one anyway. So we will have to find a new place pretty quickly. Its coming up on the end of the month and I’d rather not pay this guy any more rent if he is making us leave. This fucking blows!!! With everything else that is going on right now we don’t need this hassle added to our plate.

We have a couple prospects already. We have an appt to look at an apartment tomorrow and Devon’s uncle owns a place on the west side of Lakewood (in a much better part of town than where we are now) that we are looking into. Either way, this is a colossal pain in the ass and I may need to take some significant time off work this week if we end up moving next weekend. My dad and Stan have already agreed to help us move so I’m just hoping we can find a place with the quickness.

My beautiful blue baby is legal

Yesterday morning I got up nice and early, slipped on my new motorcycle helmet for the first time, and rode the bike down to Garfield Hts to have my inspection done (a necessary inconvenience of getting a vehicle with an S-title).  All I had to do was hand the guy my receipt for the passenger foot peg and blinker light I replaced, wait in the waiting room for about 20 mins while he inspected whatever he had to inspect, and I received a piece of paper stating that I was now allowed to get a clean title!

I was so excited on the way home that I decided to make a detour straight to the title bureau right then and there.  It was pretty far out of my way, but I still had plenty of time to kill before work and I just couldn’t wait anymore.  I got my title, then went right next door to the license bureau and got my new plate all in one fell swoop.  All I have to do now is get insurance, which I plan on doing with my next paycheck.  I also need to give it a good wash, its been sitting for too long.

God damn it feels good to get out and ride again; it’s been so long.  With the good weather in Cleveland being as unreliable and fleeting as it is, I plan on riding any and every chance I get!  On the way home from getting my plate, I took the Metroparks home.  I love riding through the Metroparks.  There’s almost no lights, little traffic, and its a very mellow and peaceful ride.  I’d even go so far as to call it therapeutic.  Here’s to a long summer of freedom on two wheels!

What once was old is new again!

In the spirit of Metal Gear Solid 4 being released, I thought I’d post a cool little pic. Can’t wait to play the game, but I’m kind of thinking I should play the previous games first. I’ve played them before, but never finished any of them, so I’m not too clear on the story. From everything I’m reading, the story and closure in the new game sounds incredible so I may play the other games first just so I can get the full appreciation out of it.

In other news, I’m still chipping away at GTA4. No other GTA game has held my attention this long and I’m loving it! I don’t get bored no matter how much I play it. Sometimes it is a bit annoying getting phone calls from my (in-game) friends though when I just want to progress with the main storyline.

Also, I finally got internet hooked up at home so I’ve been taking my PS3 and Wii online like crazy (god the Wii is finicky with its internet, isn’t it? It always seems to be a crapshoot as to weather or not it decides to cooperate with my router). I’ve been downloading all kinds of free demos and movies. I even bought Echochrome on the PS3 as my very first online game download. I like the game, really love and can appreciate the concept; but I don’t think I’m smart enough to play it. I got about 3-4 levels in before I was left staring at the screen and moving the camera around with a blank look on my face for about 30 mins straight. I can just tell the later stages would only succeed in splitting my brain in half and give me an anyeurism in the process. Oh well, at the very least I voted with my dollars and supported the game and the people who made it. That’s what its about, right?

As a result of my recently revived connection to the intertubes, I have also been playing Burnout Paradise online and immensely enjoying every minute of it. I have found 350 new reasons to fall in love with that game all over again! While showing off my platinum cars, I am pleasantly surprised at how cooperative (mostly) everybody is in the online BP community. A lot of people have gotten most of the online achievements already and here I am trying to get the most basic ones, but they are pretty cool about helping out. Joining existing Freeburn sessions is cool too, as I’ve had the opportunity to get a few of the more complicated and involved challenges this way. 101 Club, here I come! Then comes the Cagney update, whooo!!!

I plan on playing some Call of Duty 4 online too, and maybe try some online sessions of Resistance. We’ll see, by the time I get to Resistance the sequel will probably be out (whooo!!) and I’ll be busy playing that instead. God, and I’m sure I’ll have to buy some games on PSN and Virtual Console eventually. THE DOWNWARD SPIRAL NEVER ENDS!!!!!

BTW, does anybody know where to find your Wii friend code???  I can’t find the damn thing anywhere : (

Yeah, I could see our cat doing this
